Researching ephemeral art and found that I LOVE LOVE this artist! I am watching some super interesting videos on youtube about how Andy Goldsworthy works in and with nature. He is so eloquent and his art is absolutely refreshing. I love the idea of working with the environment, learning how the land works and how the elements work with the landscape. Beautiful.
i am tired of working! almost done though (for now). hope to incorporate some video of the family doing something environmentally
tyring to work on my site and guess what? I managed to change the entire layout ON ACCIDENT! OH NO! this is so not good! the things we do for education....
this project is growing and growing...the more i look, the more i want to include. today, as i was walking to class, i began taking pictures of images on the ground and on walls...sort of like grafiti. is that art? sure it is...but, then i thought, i could put an activity in here to let kids guess what type of art it is! ephemeral, political, landscape, etc...cool!! lets watch and see what happens with that!
The Quest is a project that is due TOMORROW for a computer class (art curricula). The project is supposed to replicate or be another version of a Webquest. I know, you are wondering what in the world a 'webquest' is....well, you need to google it! It is essentially a lesson plan, student based learning on the internet. Like one website with a goal, learning strategy and outcome. I decided to re-invent the wheel (because thats how I roll) and put together a site where students can learn as well as teachers. I hope that this will grow in to a community website, where people can share ideas, projects, lesson plans, and anything else regarding our environment! This is OUR WORLD...we should OWN it...
