Ephemeral Art
Ephemeral things (from Greek εφήμερος – ephemeros, literally "lasting only one day"[1]) are transitory, existing only briefly. Typically the term is used to describe objects found in nature, although it can describe a wide range of things.
Ephemeral means to be transient and short lasting – only existing for a little amount of time. An example of something ephemeral is when you look at the sunset in the sky. You can remember that sunset in your mind for a long time. However that particular sunset only existed for a short period of time.
*Consider this~sidewalk chalk, snowman, a flower in bloom. Are these things ephemeral? View the slideshow below and think about how each of the images could be considered ephemeral. These images are my personal collection! Notice how many are things you might see everyday!
